Rural Affairs & Islands Committee (Part 1)

Subordinate legislation: The Committee will take evidence on the Good Food Nation (Specified Functions and Descriptions) (Scottish Ministers) Regulations 2025 (SSI 2025/draft) from— Mairi Gougeon, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, Land Reform and Islands, Ashley Cooke, Deputy Director for Food and Drink, James Hamilton, Lawyer, Tracy McCollin, Head of Good Food Nation Team, and Lisa Nowak, Policy Officer, Good Food Nation Team, Scottish Government. 2. Subordinate legislation: Mairi Gougeon, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, Land Reform and Islands to move— S6M-19472— That the Rural Affairs and Islands Committee recommends that the Good Food Nation (Specified Functions and Descriptions) (Scottish Ministers) Regulations 2025 be approved. 3. Natural Environment (Scotland) Bill: The Committee will consider the Bill at Stage 2 (Day 3). Subject to Parliamentary Bureau approval of the Committee’s request to meet at the same time as plenary business, the Committee will reconvene at 17.30 in Committee Room 2 to continue its consideration.
